This is a Dragon Dice Novella set in the world of Esfah! The author was able to pack a lot of good information in this short story that made for an exciting story to read. Dark forces are gathering and that's just the beginning! Here I found a thrilling battle, heroic feats, magic, bizarre creatures, dragons, and many diverse races, good and bad. The characters are colorful and fully brought to life. I also liked the maps and glossary the author provided. A very satisfying short story and well worth the read!

This book was well edited, which counts for a lot in the Kindle world. When I got the book I didn't understand the premise, which is that it is based on a fantasy board game. In that respect it's not any different than any other fan fiction. I tend not to appreciate fan fiction though. This is outside of my usual genres and had too much going on for my tastes (i.e., too many characters and difficult to remember names). Otherwise, it is a very imaginative story and will probably appeal to many fantasy readers.
